Why One Should Trust Their Instincts

Hey there! First of all I would love to know how you guys are. I just had a random thought last night that I wasn’t interacting enough with the WordPress community. And to be frank since last two weeks I’ve been stuck on 380 followers, just dealing with so many unfollows. I’ve been feeling worse about it. So please do let me know in the comments about what you’re up to lately and share anything you want to! I would love to hear from you.

Today I’m going to write about something I have barely seen anyone discussing but I believe it’s an absolutely necessary thing one should do.
So I was watching this Teenage Drama Series, ‘Just Add Magic’. It’s a fantasy series and you might think I’m too grown up to watch this. Well, I actually like it very much and it was when I noticed one dialogue which made me overthink and write. The dialogue was, “Being a captain is tough. And requires one trusting their instincts.”  So that is what I’m going to share about- trusting your instincts.

What exactly are instincts?

Instinct, if I talk about the literal meaning, then it is a kind of sense or inner feeling that you get when you think something needs to be done or something needs to be stopped. It can also be a warning or just a thought that something is about to happen. Instincts are emotional and mental thoughts. When you are going to sneeze, you feel a tickle in your nose. That is a biological and physical process, it’s not an instinct. When you feel the tickling in your nose, you won’t say ‘I have an instinct I’m going to sneeze.’

What prevents us to believe in our instincts?

We all live in a world where we can ask anyone for help no matter wherever we are. We always think of asking several people before making a decision. We think other’s advice may help us. And it does. A lot of bloggers give blogging advice and we learn from it, thus taking advice isn’t wrong. But there’s a moment when you really want to do something and the person in front of you isn’t interested in that. Sometimes people just disagree to you because they are jealous of you but we are likely to listen to that person than to follow what our heart is saying. Therefore, others advice or thoughts may prevent us from trusting our instincts.

Why should we trust our instincts and follow our heart?

If I talk about a real life situation, you might have heard someone saying that they feel as if something bad is about to happen or a feeling they should go and ask someone out. That is a pure instinct. Why should you trust your instincts? Well, instincts come from your heart. Sometimes instead of tackling the situations logically, we should believe in and follow our heart. As we all know and we must have seen them in movies and series that our relationships and life is all dependent on our heart. You love someone from the bottom of your heart, you die when your heart stops beating not your brain. If every important aspect of life is related to the heart, then it’s okay to sometimes do what you want apart from listening to others. Trust your instincts, follow your heart. I’ll leave you here with your thoughts now.

Did you have fun, because I had loads doing it. If you did, don’t forget to like the post and drop a comment!

Even i ask everyone’s opinion before taking decision. You are right. Some lead us in wrong way because of jealous, hatred and whatsoever. Sometimes we seriously need to trust our instincts!!

  3. Such a great post Saumya!!!
I always like to follow my instincts because I feel like I can difference between right and wrong, and it’s really good. I’ve experienced it so many times when I didn’t listen to me and did what others say but at the end I regretted underestimating myself.
Anyways, how are you? I haven’t been posting on my blog since some time and I’m really missing interacting with you all. Let’s chat!

    1. That’s true! We regret the most if we do something someone else wanted us to.

      2. Hmm I see…
Maybe just try not to feel stressful! I mean obviously they’ll pressurize you, but whenever you feel like it’s getting heavy do something that interests you.
My sister was in 12th grade last year and she was not in a good mental state around December-February because of exams and all stress. I would not want anyone to go through that.
Study but take out time for other things you like too!! 💗💗
